Project objectives
Improve regional development policy instruments in partner regions, addressing the root causes of territorial climate change vulnerability and promoting proactive disaster management planning.Acitvities
- Promote joint policy learning and exchange of experience to improve regional climate adaptation policies.
- Advance regulatory convergence and strengthen multi-dimensional climate resilience planning.
- Integrate civil protection as a core element of climate governance.
- Address climate uncertainty by developing evidence-based risk and impact assessments.
- Foster bottom-up, socially inclusive approaches to hazard management.
- Mobilise investments for climate-resilient infrastructure.
Results
- 8 improved policy instruments, benefiting managing authorities & stakeholders.
- Increased capacity of 150 public administrations to formulate and implement fit-for-purpose, socially aware climate adaptation responses.
- 6 workshops & 2 study visits to promote capacity building.
- 2-year joint policy planning procedures.
- 4 joint thematic studies on territorial needs and 47 good practices to guide policy improvements.
- 8 regional infodays, 1 EU-wide policy learning event.
