Activities
- Assess the current situation within the organisation – including its sustainability goals, procurement practices, and the integration of sustainability principles.
- Define relevant sustainability (CCC) criteria – addressing climate, circularity, and chemicals – for inclusion in the organisation’s pilot procurements.
- Carry out 1–3 pilot procurements to test the application of CCC criteria in real procurement processes.
- Evaluate the environmental impact of the pilot procurements and analyse the outcomes.
- Organise regional stakeholder meetings involving associated project partners to share results and insights, and to promote sustainable and green public procurement.
- Contribute to the development of the ChemClimCircle Navigator by summarising the experiences and findings from the pilot activities.
Results
- 1–3 pilot procurements carried out in accordance with the methodology developed within the project, applying climate, circularity, and chemicals (CCC) criteria.
- A method developed for assessing the environmental impact and effectiveness of procurements based on CCC principles.
- A digital tool – the ChemClimCircle Navigator platform – created to support procurement professionals in identifying and applying CCC criteria in specific product and service procurements.
- Recommendations provided for planning regions and municipal specialists on how to promote the integration of CCC criteria into public procurement regulations and practice.
- Knowledge and results from project activities transferred to strengthen the capacity of public sector staff and raise awareness of the importance of sustainable public procurement.
