Activities

  1. Assess the current situation within the organisation – including its sustainability goals, procurement practices, and the integration of sustainability principles.
  2. Define relevant sustainability (CCC) criteria – addressing climate, circularity, and chemicals – for inclusion in the organisation’s pilot procurements.
  3. Carry out 1–3 pilot procurements to test the application of CCC criteria in real procurement processes.
  4. Evaluate the environmental impact of the pilot procurements and analyse the outcomes.
  5. Organise regional stakeholder meetings involving associated project partners to share results and insights, and to promote sustainable and green public procurement.
  6. Contribute to the development of the ChemClimCircle Navigator by summarising the experiences and findings from the pilot activities.

Results

  1. 1–3 pilot procurements carried out in accordance with the methodology developed within the project, applying climate, circularity, and chemicals (CCC) criteria.
  2. A method developed for assessing the environmental impact and effectiveness of procurements based on CCC principles.
  3. A digital tool – the ChemClimCircle Navigator platform – created to support procurement professionals in identifying and applying CCC criteria in specific product and service procurements.
  4. Recommendations provided for planning regions and municipal specialists on how to promote the integration of CCC criteria into public procurement regulations and practice.
  5. Knowledge and results from project activities transferred to strengthen the capacity of public sector staff and raise awareness of the importance of sustainable public procurement.
