Project objectives
Compost365 accelerates the shift to CE by introducing 24-hour composting solutions near restaurants. These compact composters turn food waste into nutrient-rich soil, creating a restaurant based circular economy with flows both into and out of restaurants.Activities

Results
- Project pilots create novel local circular economies in three countries, forming a new service cycle.
- Cross-border and region-spanning chains are established in which composting is integrated into restaurants as producers of composted soil.
- Soil users (residents, municipalities and farms) create new cycles that increase the reuse of organic waste, capture nutrients (N, P, K and trace elements) and replace linear disposal.
- The new local circular economies strengthen self-sufficiency and a 'yes we can' mentality among community soil users in times of crisis or shortage.
- New business models and opportunities are explored for waste side streams.

Total budget: 1 078 455 EUR
VPR budget: 242 293,30 EUR (80% funded by the ERDF - 193 834,64 EUR and 20% national contribution - 48 458,66 EUR)
